Letter of Recommendation from
President of the Washington State Bar Association

Dear Jeff,

It's rare that I write a letter like this post mediation to one of the participating lawyers. But in your case, I feel it's really obligatory.

In my 59 years as a lawyer l've encountered thousands of really good lawyers. Every once in a while among younger attorneys I encounter someone having a combination of qualities that embrace the very finest traditions of our legal profession. You are one of those.

Your representation of your clients under what I regard as difficult circumstances and your approach to the opposing party and counsel, I consider to be exceptional in obtaining a favorable and just result.

Thank you for being the kind of lawyer you are. You make it fun for me as a mediator to help others resolve their disputes.

Sincerely,

J. Richard Manning
President of the Washington State Bar Association (2002-2003)
